But I still use this tooth scaler on Tom and Amalie a few times a year to break the sheet of tartar away from their back teeth. It’s about time to do Tom’s again, but today it was Amalie. She’s incredibly difficult and requires my patience because she has very sensitive gums due to her FORLs. There is erosion in her back teeth and bloody gums she’d rather I not go messing with. But, if I get the sheet of tartar off then her puffy gums might have a little more room to rest. Poor kitten. I’m going to have to put more dental work into her in the next year or so and I’m sure we’re going to have to pull more teeth.
